Privacy Policy
1. Controller
The controller of this website (“History of Europe on a map”) is Michał Rudzki, NIP (Polish tax ID): 6452571170. Contact in privacy matters: info@mediqcare.pl.
2. What data is processed
This website has no user accounts, no forms and no comments. We do not collect personal data ourselves. The following technical data is nevertheless processed when you visit:
- Server logs. Like any web server, the infrastructure serving this site records technical request data: your IP address, the time of the request, the requested address (URL) and your browser’s user agent. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the service securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operation of the service.
- Map clicks. When you click the map, the coordinates of the click and the selected year are sent to our API to look up which state the place belonged to. This information is not linked to your identity and is not stored by the application. Because it is part of the request address, it may appear in the server logs described above together with your IP address.
3. Cookies, tracking and third parties
This website does not use cookies, does not store anything in your browser’s local storage, does not show advertising and does not use analytics or tracking tools. It is free to use: there are no accounts, payments or advertising networks. It loads no third-party resources (fonts, scripts, map tiles or embeds): everything, including the map tiles, is served from our own servers. Links to external sites, such as GitHub, lead to services with their own privacy policies that we do not control.
4. Recipients and transfers
Data described in section 2 is processed on our behalf by the hosting provider of this website, acting as a data processor. We do not sell or otherwise share it. If the provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict its processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability where applicable. To exercise them, write to the address in section 1. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, Poland.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy may change as the site evolves. The current version is always available at this address, with the date of the last update shown above.
